چکیده
Abstract The mechanical behavior, corrosion mechanisms, and cytocompatibility at the interface of magnesium wires reinforced poly-lactic acid polymer composites were studied by in vitro degradation study 180 days. Surface modification Mg plasma-electrolytic oxidation improved shear strength from 10.9 MPa to 26.3 which decreased 8 13.6 Mg/PLA PEO-Mg/PLA composites, respectively, after 42 days degradation. Cross-sections composite showed good cytocompatibility, although cells tended migrate towards PLA regions avoided surface wires. Corrosion (without modification) was very fast while surface-modified significantly reduced, hydrogen gas suppressed only 3% mass loss found Finally, mechanisms discussed for both composites.

Formability Analysis of Bamboo Fabric Reinforced Poly (Lactic) Acid Composites
Poly (lactic) acid (PLA) composites have made their way into various applications that may require thermoforming to produce 3D shapes. Wrinkles are common in many forming processes and identification of the forming parameters to prevent them in the useful part of the mechanical component is a key consideration. Better prediction of such defects helps to significantly reduce the time required fo...
متن کاملEffect of Laser Surface Modification on the Crystallinity of Poly„L-Lactic Acid..
Crystallinity of semicrystalline polymers such as aliphatic homopolymer poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) affects their degradation and physical properties. In this paper, the effects of laser irradiation using the third harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser on the crystallinity, long-range order, and short-range conformations at the surface of PLLA films are investigated. The factors affecting the transformatio...
متن کاملThe Effect of Polymer Surface Modification Via Interfacial Polymerization on Polymer–Protein Interaction
Membrane separation is an important processing technology used for separating food ingredients and fractionating value-added components from food processing byproducts. Long-term performance of polymeric membranes in food protein processing is impeded by the formation of fouled layers on the membrane surface as a result of protein adsorption onto the membrane surface. Surface modification of sy...
متن کاملNewly Developed Techniques on Polycondensation, Ring-Opening Polymerization and Polymer Modification: Focus on Poly(Lactic Acid)
Polycondensation and ring-opening polymerization are two important polymer synthesis methods. Poly(lactic acid), the most typical biodegradable polymer, has been researched extensively from 1900s. It is of significant importance to have an up-to-date review on the recent improvement in techniques for biodegradable polymers. This review takes poly(lactic acid) as the example to present newly dev...

The present study was conducted to determine the recyclability and biodegradability of bamboo fabric-reinforced poly(lactic) acid (BF-PLA) composites for sustainable packaging. BF-PLA composite was recycled through the granulation, extrusion, pelletization and injection processes. Subsequently, mechanical properties (tensile, flexural and impact strength), thermal stability and the morphologica...
